Getting so fed up...

with people from my job. I work with pilots and so when they ask me where I'm going on my honeymoon, I say Tahiti. They have nothing nice to say about it and it bothers me. I can't say 'what do they know' because they've been there. They all say the same thing....'there's nothing to do in Tahiti' 'the people are nasty' - BlaBlaBla. 'you should have booked with Figi.' I wished these old pilots would just shut up (sorry I'm real fustrated.!!

Do I regret booking with Tahiti.....Sometimes I wish I was invisible. so nobody would talk to me.

Don't let them get you down!!! We went to Tahiti and it was fantastic. You're going to have an awesome honeymoon. Let them spew and just remember that no matter what, you're going to have a WONDERFUL honeymoon.

Tell them you will have a lot of stuff to do, you are on your honeymoon.

Ignore them, they are just jealous.

I think people like that would say something bad about WHEREVER you told them you were going!! Honestly, HOW RUDE is that for them to say!! I am pi$$ed!! LOL!! I mean, why is it OK for them to say that but if you said 'What kind of car do you have...oh, really, that's too bad, I havent' heard great things about it, you should have gotten this one instead...' You researched Tahiti, you're looking forward to it, spent thousands of dollars on it... Don't let them ruin it for you - My FH and I are going to Bora Bora. He owns a SCUBA dive shop and has been almost everywhere, and HE picked Bora Bora, so I hope THAT gives you a little more confidence! Also, they're just 'stopping by' - I bet none of them have vacationed there... I really have only heard good things except that the food is really expensive

Tahiti is the ULTIMATE honeymoon!!!!!

DO NOT pay any mind to them or the negative comments they have to say about your honeymoon.

DH and I went to Bora Bora, Moorea and Tahiti on our honeymoon. It was fabulous - the island is so gorgeous and we loved the hotels/resorts we stayed at. The only thing i would say is that Tahiti, the island itself is not that great. And when we go back we are only going to Bora Bora and Moorea (and maybe other islands). We only stayed one day on Tahiti.

Then dont pay them any mind. I would do anything to be sitting on the balcony of teh overwater bungalow in Bora Bora right now. I doubt the pilots got to fly to Bora Bora or any of the other gorgeous islands.

i've never been but tahiti is supposed to be gorgeous!! and if they are trying to say you should have chosen figi instead--from what i hear, they are very similar in people, culture, look, etc.

so that's why i wouldn't worry if i were you! sometimes people try to put down what you have b/c they don't have it or are not getting it (jealous). and definitely be happy you are going there!! i think you'll love it... and SO what if there's nothing to do there!! maybe that's what you and FH want, it is a HM afterall and plenty of people like a 'do nothing but lay on the beach' HM!!

I don't hink your going to need a huge selection of activites. It's your honeymoon after all

just ignore them- my FIL is a pilot, and he has a comment about EVERYTHING--- its soo annoying!
you picked a beautiful place- a beach, blue water and you'll be be with DH- what else do you need??!
