Where else have you been so far? Maybe we can suggest other stores to go too ....

Also, have you ruled out types of dresses that you definitely don't want? Or something specific that you are looking for in a dress?

looking for something that is off the shoulder - went to Macy's Manhasset and this is the dress I have in mind. The only thing is that I am looking for something a little more simple. If i end up getting this dress I think I would take off all the bead work on the bottom and make the dress into a narrow A-line. What do you think?

I ordered my dress from Elena's Bridal in Merrick. It is a small store but the three women who work there (it's their family business) are awesome! You should give them a call and go look there!

Re: Getting very frustrated

when i went to try one dresses, i literally tried on 50-75 in the first place i went to. the bright side? i had found my dress by the end of the night. what i'm saying is if you haven't done it already, try on EVERYTHING, even if you think you won't like it. i ended up with something totally different than what i had imagined and LOVE it. by trying on everything, you can find out what you like and don't like on yourself, ie - i love a narrow a line, but i like that waist better, i like this overlay, but i don't like the straps, etc. then at least you can have a better idea of what you're looking for.

if you've done this already, i'd suggest looking around online for designs you like or calling the bridal suite before you arrive and tell them what you're looking for. if all else fails, have it made. from what i've heard the expense is about the same and you'll end up with something you really like.

good luck! if you want to post specifics of what you're looking for (material type, etc.) i'll keep my eyes opened for you.

p.s. - i think the beading looks fine on the dress you posted, but if you're not comfortable with it, don't do it. have you tried it on yet?

Re: Getting very frustrated

thanks for the help. I did try on the dress and loved the top part - fit great and I felt very comfortable. Just hate the size of the bottom of the gown and it has a lot of fabric in the back

Re: Getting very frustrated

Try Lidias Bridal in Copiague. They are great. They will have what you are looking for.

Re: Getting very frustrated

here's some jasmine gowns i thought you'd like. i also THINK i read somewhere that they'll let you order a dress made from the top of one gown and the bottom of another. i dunno if they do, but it may be something to look into.

Re: Getting very frustrated

no need to get frustrated. this is suppose to be the fun part of wedding planning. maybe you should try RK bridal in manhattan. they are suppose to have a huge selection. try to go someplace with someone who can help and direct you to the style of dress that would flatter your body. that way you're not trying on 100 different dresses. good luck and happy shopping!
