Getting your delicates to the venue?

I was wondering do I ask my venue if I can bring in the delicate items to the wedding the days before the wedding, or do you bring them the day of? Things I have in mind are the cake topper I made from clay, my cardbox, the flower girl basket, flower pedals and my chocolate favors. Items that might get crushed or broken in transit.

I know for my venue they have me bring everything a few days before labeled in boxes with our names on them.

The woman at our venue told us we would bring everything we wanted, table numbers, place cards, favors, etc. 2 days before the wedding.
