Getting your Ring Made Smaller?? Help!

Can anyone recommend a place that will size my ring down? It needs just a half size smaller. I don't like the ring guard thing. I don't want to leave my ring there unattended, so preferably somewhere I can watch while they do it. TIA!!

I went to the flea market in Levittown. They have a huge jewelry exchange upstairs and they did it for like $25 or something like that and it only took about an hour.

ETA: They not only permit you to watch the entire process, they refuse to allow you to leave your ring unattended

i too need to have my ring smaller, but will put the balls in it.... (sry, i still dont know the proper name).... I was convinced not to cut it down bc then it prob wont fit when i get preggers

ITA this is the only jeweler that we will use for any of our good jewelry.

Can you put in those ball things? My mom suggested I do this. I forget what they are called, but I am sure any jeweler knows. I didn't want to size it down again because my fingers change size as my weight changes, and I figure I am not getting smaller as I get older, especially once I have a kid or two!

I think they r called spacers...I have them in my ring and u can take them off when u get pregnant!

I have no idea what balls you guys are talking about! The only thing I've found is a white tab thing you wrap around the band. I've found they get dirty and don't look too nice. People used to comment on it all the time when I did wear the tab thingy, and it really annoyed me. What are these ball spacers you all speak of and where can I get them?

They're small metal balls that are attached to the inside of the ring to keep the ring from spinning on your finger. Unless you take the ring off, nobody will know they're there.

I had them put into a ring that was slightly loose, but not so big as to need to be resized.

I had it done at Gennaro's. I'm starting to sound like a commercial for them!
