ggrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Don't you hate know it alls!!!!!!! My wedding band is one with stones. A traditional jewish ceremony is a solid band with no stones. We checked with our rabbi and he said he'll marry us with a ring with stones. Everyone is putting in there 2 cents. A friend just said to me that she's surprised the rabbi is marrying us with a ring with stones and engraved. To me having a ring engraved, there's no breaks in the band. Some people

I feel better

WOW I never heard that before?! You really 'can't' have any band that you want when you're having a Jewish ceremony???

it all depends on the rabbi. fh father told us that a traditional one is with no breaks. diamonds has breaks in the ring

i know. in my opinion, the only approval that we need for the ring is the rabbi

Our rabbi said we could use bands with stones however a good friend of mine needed to get rings for the ceremony as well as the ring that matches her e-ring.

if someone really needs to be obnoxious you could 'say' that you are using plain ones - and switching into yours. What they don't know will not hurt them. It is between you, DF and your officiant.

my best friend is jewish and explained what her future wedding would be like, the rules, etc. I will definitely have to tell her rabbi may allow stones in her band, cuz it is something she said she likes...thanks...you always learn something useful on LIW!!

we're using a reformed rabbi. if she's using a reformed rabbi, she might be able to do it. my fh feels its my symbolic for me to wear the ring that i get married in
