GH fans...guess who's rumored to leave? (don't read if you don't want to know!)

Well confirmed is Chad Brannon (Zander). Rumored is John Ingle (Edward Quartermaine), Lane Davies (I think that's his name, he plays Cameron, Zander's dad), Kin Shriner (Scott - I hate the character but love the actor). This is after AJ and whatsherface left last week. They are 'cleaning house' in Pt. Charles. I'd like to help and tell them to get rid of Faith and LIZ - omg she is so annoying.

Oh and rumored too to go is Mac. And Lila (she's on recurring anyway). And Skye, but I think that's a long stretch since I also read that she's rumored not to be a Quartermaine after all, and a big story will revolve around her and someone else who we will find out will be her actual sibling. I'm not saying who, because that's also a weird rumor and I need to investigate more about it (but it's on the soapzone's message board if you care to look)

I wish they'd keep Edward. I like him. I think they had to let go of some actors to account for the salaries of the actors playing Tracy and Jax. But Kin's been around for years, he's a vet there. Kinda weird. I think his character's antics have gotten old. They made him 'nicer' in Port Charles but I guess that didn't work either.

It would be nice if they aged Serena and brought her on.

I have watched GH since 1980 and that's all I watch but I used to watch Days until Marlena became possessed by Satan and then I had it and turned it off! I also used to watch Another World until that went off the air but now i can see re-runs on Soapnet when I visit LI!

I got into AW too when I thought that OLTL sucked (I think they were on at the same time, or maybe I was annoyed with GH - can't remember). Was always an AMC fan.

Oh yeah, I used to love Edge of Night too!

I think I watched Santa Barbara for a while too (when jack Wagner left GH).

OMG - JACK WAGNER IS MY ALL-TIME FAVORITE!! I watch the Melrose re-runs on Sytle Channel b/c they have caught up to the years he was on it! LOVE HIM!

He was actually doing some golf show on ESPN (or something) that was pretty funny that I could actually get FH to watch without wanting to make fun of me!!!

I too was a Melrose addict.

Hey, I'm still waiting for Frisco to come back. Maybe he can knock some sense into Maxie and Georgie, especially since Felicia abandoned them.

Actually, that's something I HATE about soaps!! When actors leave a show to go to another. I mean dammit, Jack Wagner is Frisco, no one else!! And like Roger Howarth (former Todd/OLTL) - how could he go somewhere else????? I could go on forever on this topic, so instead, I'll cut myself off now!!!

wc0143, I know what you mean. Roger Howarth will always be Todd. This new Todd/Walker/Flynn guy just isn't cutting it. I think John McBane (Caleb the vampire from Port Charles) would have done a better job with the role.

Cablevision in the Bronx does not carry soapnet. I don't tape it either. I read the TVguide.com soap updates. I watch it once in awhile. I should tape it though again.

I used to watch OLTL but got out of it. All the characters are different. And AMC is good but I can't get into it.

Too bad Genie Frances left GH too. But her stories when she came back, outside of Frank Smith/Damian Smith, and Stephan Cassidine, she didn't do much. So I think she got bored.

The thing that bothers me the most is that the writers cater TOO MUCH to the fan's opinions. I mean yes we watch and have an impact but there are soooo many different opinions on who should be with who, who should have a bigger story, who shouldn't, etc and it seems that you can tell when fans don't like a story because poof! it's resolved in a week and that bothers me. Like with Carly: I didn't necesarily like her forgetting how to love Sonny. I actually was hoping that she would wake up from the coma and think she loved Lorenzo to the point of leaving Sonny then and there. Then being with him and not realizing how he tried to gaslight Sonny...going for a few weeks and then either finding her way somehow back to Sonny or snapping out of her fog. But a week or two isn't alot. Plus while she said she didn't love Sonny she never went to Lorenzo either. You could tell fans e-mailed the writers threatening how they would stop watching, etc.
Come on. The point of a soap is the angst of seeing two people that love each other being apart, or one loving the other and can't express it. That's why we tune in, to see what's going to happen. Not to watch Sonny and Carly always happy. Do I want them to be? Yes. They deserve it. But not for long you know? Have Sonny fall for the Lily look alike. Have him fall for Skye or something. Or Carly with Justus or something..anything. Mix it up a bit. Have Luke get into a WSB mystery or something. I need more reason to watch.

Wouldn't it have been great if Carly woke up and the past 7 or 8 years were erased and she thought she just arrived in town? Or woke up and thought she was still with Tony?!??!?
How awesome would that have been? Both Lorenzo and Sonny going 'huh'????
