Gift Advice

Gift Advice

I need some help ladies. I am Greek and getting married in my childhood church. For Greek weddings we have sponsors called koubaroi. It is my cousin, who is more of like a sister to me, and her husband.

So they are actually responsible for some important elements of the wedding. They are buying our crowns and candles for the church and the favors for the wedding. This is in addition to the gift they will also give us.

My cousin is very generous and spending a lot of money on these things because that is who she is. I'm actually trying to reign her in a bit. lol So I'm looking for gift suggestions for her and her husband. I want to get them something really nice for their generosity for everything they are doing for FH and I.

I've nixed anything for the house because they live with my aunt who is a widow and don't really need anything. She is also not the easiest person to shop for. I was thinking of maybe buying them something individually and then as a couple. Maybe a night in the city, show and dinner. I don't know. I'm kind of at a loss. I just want to show them my huge appreciation.

Any and all suggestions welcome. TIA!

Re: Gift Advice

I was thinking of maybe a couple of nights at a B&B a few hours otside the city, like in Newport, RI, or a GC to Liberty Travel. Esp if they live with mom, they could use a nice getaway

Re: Gift Advice

i would def say either a night out - show or concert tickets and dinner gift certificate. possibly even a spa day or golf day (if they are into that)... a b&b is a nice idea too
