gift for FMIL...

gift for FMIL...

Hello All...

FH and I need some advice on this....
do we get a wedding gift for my FMIL and her husband for the wedding if she has nothing to do with the wedding at all, doesnt ask about it, not sure if they'll even attend and isn't nice to me AT ALL!!!??

if you think we should get gifts for them, any suggestions?

Of course my first thought is to say no....but I'll be a good person and say that I WOULD give them a gift but I would make it a small token of appreciation for bringing FH into this world.

My first reaction would be no way...

but I would take the high road, get her something and let her feel guilty for being so mean to you..

any suggestions on something that we can get her? AND do we get something for her husband as well( not FH father... he is just as mean as her, if not more!

a gift for the parents? is that a tradition? i didn't get our folks anything. we got them their attire for the wedding *ahem* only because they'll come dressed in honky tonk couture but that's about it. argh... my MIL and I don't get along .. didn't get her anything.. i'm not familiar with the high road.
