do any of you have ideas on a gift to give a stepchild at the ceremony. Our officiant said it is common to give the child something as well since you are joining as a 'family'.
She will be 13 by the time we get married. Any ideas would be very helpful.
thanks!

Re: Gift for Stepchild
My cousin's daughter was 10 or 11 when my cousin got married. They gave her a ring - it was tri-colored gold (rose, yellow, and white) to symbolize the new family.

Re: Gift for Stepchild
When I married DH I also gained a step-daughter, she was 9. Since DH and I have our w-rings I decided to get my step-daughter and I matching rings (costume jewelry). We don't wear them all the time but it's nice to have something like that for when we dress up, and it meant a lot to both her and DH.

What about a heart locket with her name engraved on it? That's what I'm doing for my niece, who is my flower girl.
