To whom are you giving gifts? We are giving gifts to all of the groomsmen and bridesmaids at the rehearsal dinner. I just purchased a digital frame for my parents as their gift. We have to figure out something comparable for FH's parents since they already have one. Any help in that department would be appreciated! Do we get gifts for his grandparents? I have no living grandparents, so it would just be his. We are giving gifts to our parents just to thank them for always being there. We are mostly paying for the wedding ourselves though my parents contributed a little. Since we are paying for it ourselves, money is getting tight. What is everyone else doing? Thank you so much as usual! I am starting to realize more and more how much all of you on this site have helped now that the wedding is so close! 35 days to go!

Yet another thing I am clueless about. We are having a civil ceremony done by a judge. We are writing our own vows. I have not asked anyone to read anything...what is normally done?

We will be giving gifts to BM's, GM's and parents. Neither one of us have any living grandparents, so that's not a concern for us.

Thanks. May I ask what the readers in the church normally read? There is a poem I love that I would love to have read but I am not sure whom to ask to read it.

they were all stuff from the bible normally but alot that had to do with love or were sort of like love poems.
You can ask somebody to read a poem. Ask somebody close to you like maybe an aunt, a close friend that isn't in your bp, maybe a family member of his. Or even one of your parents maybe, a brother or sister.
