I am about to get my parents a wine tasting on a sailing yacht experience from signaturedays.com, but I wanted to get your opinions.
It leaves at 4:30 on Sundays from May to October (they can pick a date convenient for them) from the Yacht Basin in the Hudson River located near the world financial center.
Here's the description:
Seating is casual. You'll pick a spot on one of the benches, hatch covers, cabin tops or layout on the beautiful deck.
You will enjoy a sail for around 2 hours around New York with the exact route being dictated by the most favorable sailing conditions.
Some snacks will be served along with the wines (cheeses, sushi , etc.)
I'm also going to get them a silver picture frame that says 'I'll always be your little girl' With a picture from when I was little and a space for a wedding picture later.
Good idea?

Thanks...I forgot to mention that it isn't a private cruise...I think they take up to 25 people at a time....but they love boating and wine...so I thought this was perfect! Then they can always go out to dinner afterwards in manhattan (on their own dime of course- I'm officially BROKE!)
ETA: also forgot to mention that I will also pay an extra $5 to get them an exchange certificate so they can change to a dinner or brunch cruise or something totally different instead.
