Friends of FH and I (our BM and GM) are going to have their first child any day now and I am looking for a special gift to give them representing their new family. If anyone knows of any figurines that would make a special gift, please let me know.
**Please note: As much as I love the Willow Tree figurines, FH doesn't like them. He said 'they have no faces' So, if there are any others out there besides Willow Tree, your help would be appreciated.

These have no faces either but looks pretty cool...
From Things Remembered. I gave this gift to my FSIL and put a picture of the new family. The metal thing on top was engraved with their last name and they loved it.

Saw them online. Way out of my price range. They're so nice too. Bummer.

Lladro has a less expensive line...I can't remember the name of it. They sell them at Hallmark stores.

What about Gift certificate to picture people for family and new baby portraits? They'll be able to pick the pictures and poses that they like. Instead of having it framed at Pic people which is major $$.. try to find them a beautiful collage frame.. maybe with a big 8x10 and 2 5x7 openings in 1 frame to give with the gift certificate.
