Gift Question

I had my e-party on saturday. I am getting ready to send thank you's for all the great gifts we received and of course there is a gift that had no card. I have no idea who it is from. I want to thank the person who gave the gift but I dont know what to do. I tried the process of elimination thing and it didnt work. Many people brought multiple gifts, so I dont know what to do. Any ideas?

Re: Gift Question

Didn't someone write down who the gifts were from as you were opening? If so, then process of elimination should still work. If not, try and see if someone remembers who gave you the mystery gift.

Re: Gift Question

I had a similar thing happen to me this weekend and although I am not 100% sure, I have managed to figure out. The gift was 6 champaigne flutes, that must have been bought loose (w/out a package). The package was a made up box, with rough cuts at the edges and no wrapping. So I had 2 potential guests who could have given it to me and figured out it had to be a guy, without the wrapping paper, and not having gone to hallmark and bought a gift box. Perhaps similar clues about the gift can help you out.

Re: Gift Question

I have a follow up question: When addressing thank you cards0 to guest and their girlfriend, do you write 2 thank you cards for each person or 1, thanking the friend and his girlfriend?

Re: Gift Question

I would ask your Mom to help you figure this out. There must be someway to do that.

I send a thank you card to each person (if you are close with them both and they do not live together). If one of my friends just brought a random date then I wouldn't send them their own thankyou card.
