Re: gift registry
I didn't really look at price, if something is really expensive, you may be lucky enough to have a few people chip in to get it for you.

Re: gift registry
I haven't registered yet, but since both FH and I have been on our own for years, we already have almost everything. The only stuff we're really going to register for is the expensive stuff we don't already have: china, good silver, crystal, etc.

Re: gift registry
We put on the 14 piece All Clad set at Fortunoff, it's a little over $1000 but lately they have been having a lot of sales like 25% off, so if a few people go in together it's not ssssoooo expensive. I think our BP will buy it for us because they know how much I love to cook/eat!

Re: gift registry
Mine ranges from $400 (pots and pans) to 3 dollars! ....As long as you have a variety of prices so your guests don't feel pressured to spend more then they want then you are okay..
your registry is a 'wish list'...you didn't tell people they HAVE to buy you something expensive...
As long as you have options and a variety of prices you are 100% ok and not greedy !

Re: gift registry
As of right now my highest by unit item is my cookware set at 399, but highest total would be the 8 china settings at 129 each. I just had a FREAK piss and moan about a 20 dollar relish dish I had on my registry and said I was inconsiderate for that. So basically...there's no pleasing everybody, and put EVERYTHING that you need or want on it and don't feel pressured not to because of price.

You should see my registry.......... I put that dyson vacuum on there. You know how expensive that is because YOU have one!!
Don't feel guilty. You aren't forcing people to buy anything.

You think that's bad?!?! My highest priced item is the $899 copper kitchen aid mixer I registered for, lol. Don't feel badly, no one is forced to buy these items for you. In fact, I don't really expect anyone to buy it for me (well, maybe my mom will if I'm good, hah), but we registered for some more pricey items b/c we get money off of them if no one buys them. And remember, some ppl will buy you gift cards from the stores you register at so you can use those cards to the now discounted items you want so it's like double savings. I have several high priced items on there. You just have to make sure that you register for plenty of items in wide price range for ppl of all economic situations. If you do that, then register for a $5,000 tiara if you want, lol!
