Help- I need some advice.. Has anyone had the experience of not getting gifts from friends that came to the wedding? I had 2 close friends that came to my wedding. One came alone, and the other came with her husband. They both did not give me a gift, and did not even give me a card! I dont mean to be greedy, but isnt that rude? I was just wondering if any has experienced this.. I am sort of upset about it.. Thanks for your input.
Yep, 2 of FH's cousins didn't give us a gift, and one of our GM gave us a check then told us not to cash it because his account was frozen. Said to rip it up and he'd give us cash.....that was back in July. We're not getting the $$.
I had two older rich cousins not gift, my MOH did not give a gift (and came with a BF I never met before), I had a close girlfriend come and rsvp for 2 but showed up alone and did not gift even though she makes a lot more money then me and I gave her a large gift.... plus more... its annoying and irritating and rude... and i dont think its greedy to be pissed off... but what can we do? nothing. it bothers me i didnt even get a card or note though. at least nice words would have appeased me but you come to a party where you get to eat drink and dance for free and to celebrate a major life event for someone close to you and you don't even acknowledge it?? rude!!!
We had 5 people come and not give gifts..not even cards. There's nothing you can do. Its too rude to ask them about it (I think). I still plan on sending them a 'Thanks for coming to our wedding' card.
i had 2 no gifts as well. i sent them ty for coming. 9 months later-still no gift .
technically people have a year you could always phrase it as we didn't see a card from you and just wanted to make sure that we did not lose anything that night. Either way it's an awkward situation but at least it will give them a chance to give you a reason.
