GIFTS!! FH, & PARENTS

It seems like too much to spend more $$ on gifts for each other. Aren't we each other's gift?

Also do parents get gifts from each FH and I? Or do we combine together and buy our parents gifts?

What are you all doing? Im clueless - and poor (just opened a new business and pulling my hair out)!!

There are no rules about giving each other a wedding gift. Most people do not exchange wedding gifts.

Gifts to the parents are from both of you.

we exchanged gifts, but many people do not...
some people also wait until the HM to buy something special

yeah i was thinking the same thing about gifts to your FH..and vice versa, i thought we were each others gift!! hehe...i may make him something like a frame with pictures and quotes....but he will probably think its lame haha

Fh and I figure our honeymoon is our wedding gift to eachother. And as for parent gifts- Im not sure how ths will work for us. My parents are throwing the wedding and his are doing the rehersal dinner. We might get my parents a weekend away or something like that, but have noooo clue what to get his parents. But we have a year to figure it out!

You and FH do not have to exchange wedding gifts. That's what your w-rings are supposed to be anyway, a representation of your love.

As for your parents, you and FH should go in together and get them one gift. Just something to thank them, it doesn't have to be elaborate, I'm sure they are aware of and understand your financial situation.

I was thinking for parents doing something very sentimental, or doing something a bit after the ceremony. plus, the parents albums will be part of their gift... FH and i will not be doing gifts, its just too expensive. (and we get each other gifts all the time anyway)
