my 9 year old godson loves anything with a remote control. i just got him a remote control motorcycle and he loved it. he also loves video games and cash lol

When in doubt, ask the parents. They know what toys their kids already have and what they're into. That would probably be your best bet. You could always get a gift certificate to a toy store and let him pick out whatever he wants.
