Gifts for FMIL??

Gifts for FMIL??

Okay, so my parents are giving us the wedding, so we're giving them the gift basket representing the trip to Maine, which we'll go on with them, and a few little extras (figurines, embroidered handkerchiefs, scratch off lottery tickets to 'try to make some of the wedding money back' .)

My FMIL is paying for our Rehearsal Dinner. At this point, I'm just planning on getting her an 8x10 frame, engraved, so that she can put our wedding picture in it. Technically, the picture is also part of the gift. Plus, I had a handkerchief embroidered for her.

Is that enough? She lives in FL, so I don't know what else I can get. I just bought her a gift certificate for a great restaurant in Tampa for her birthday, so I don't want to repeat that less than a month later.

Any other ideas for a FMIL gift? Not trying to equate it to my parents gift... just SOMETHING extra?

TIA!

How about a mani/pedi gift certificate for somewhere here, she can get it for the wedding or before she heads back to Florida.

good idea, but she's only here from Friday to Monday and the Rehearsal Dinner is Saturday night - the night before the wedding. .

I think what you are giving is nice... if you want, maybe a nice bottle of wine along with it? (If she likes that)... OR you could get her a piece of nice costume jewelry that she could wear on the wedding day (pretty antique earrings they are showing everywhere now or a bracelet)... They are not expensive and I think it would be nice. They have a ton of really nice things at Lord and Taylor in the Walt Whitman Mall... and a lot of it is 50% off right now.
