Is it necessary to get gifts for the grooms parents? He as three. I know that they will not be hosting or contributing to the rehearsal dinner. I don't have parents, so thats not an issue. I know this may sound cold, but do they have to be invited to the R.D.? Thanks.

Re: Gifts for Grooms Parents
Gifts are never necessary although a thoughtful gesture. MY FILs are contributing and we are getting them a gift- however, I think even without them contributing we would get them a little something-or maybe simply an album from the photographer- but it would be more thanking them for raising their son, for doing a good job...
As for inviting them to the rehearsal dinner- IMO of course they should be invited... sounds like there might be something else going on but remember you have a little while to think about the small details like this- dont say anything about invites now- you wouldnt want to hurt anybody and then have people argueing throughout your planning-
