Good question! At this point I have no clue. Sorry I can't help.

When my sister got married last year she bought extra center pieces for the people that helped like aunts, MIL, and mother and presented them at her shower and thanked them.

I am giving hankies to the moms and will give them an album. Maybe I will get them a nice frame with a picture of me and FH.

I bought my Mom some gorgeous necklace, earrings and bracelet set to wear for the day of and any day really. I had to give it to her early so that she could make sure it went with her dress and that she liked it. SHe cried - she thought it was so beautiful. I'm goign to give her something small in addition to that at the rehearsal dinner.

I'm giving my FILs this poem either wood burned or embroided.
And a woman who held a babe against her bosom said, 'Speak to us of
Children.'

And he said:

Your children are not your children.

They are the sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself.

They come through you but not from you,

And though they are with you, yet they belong not to you.

You may give them your love but not your thoughts.

For they have their own thoughts.

You may house their bodies but not their souls,

For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow, which you cannot visit,
not even in your dreams.

You may strive to be like them, but seek not to make them like you.

For life goes not backward nor tarries with yesterday.

You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth.

The archer sees the mark upon the path of the infinite, and He bends you
with His might that His arrows may go swift and far.

Let your bending in the archer's hand be for gladness;

For even as he loves the arrow that flies, so He loves also the bow that
is stable.

I LOVE the picture frame. I got my mom a mother's loving touch, but I didn't get anything for my dad yet. I'm also getting my parents tickets to a broadway show, a gift certificate to a restaurant in the city, and a night in a hotel in the city so they can have a fun night on the town. My parents are paying for most of the wedding so I wanted to get them something really nice. I'm letting FI decide what to get his parents.
