fh and i are mostly paying for the wedding ourselves my parents paying for hall his parents paying for photo and video im getting mixed reviews on gifts for them at the rehearsal dinner do i or dont i and if so what do you get sets of parents that have everything

I'm getting them a nice photo album from lenox...not too expensive, but they can put some wedding pics in it.

I got my mom a shadow box frame and i am going to put a picture of us in it. i also want to get her a nice necklace from zales. her middle name is faith and they have a really nice faith necklace.
I got my father a sterling silver then and now picture frame and i am getting him a cross necklace from zales.
Not sure what FH is getting his parents and they are all getting personalized hankies

I am kind of town on gifts too. My mom is paying for the hall, throwing my shower, plus as been helping getting a lot of little things when I say I like them and I want to get something 2 weeks later there is a box. Fil's are giving us 5k which is basically a vendor. We are paying for RD. I kind of feel like I want to get my mom a bigger gift since she has been helping and doing a lot. Fil's have send us part of the money and we still haven't' seen the rest. Is it rude to give my mom a bigger gift than Fil's? What do you think?

The RH is the biggest expense of the wedding. They should def get a nice gift.

my parents are helping tremendously and my mother has stressed that all she wants is a wedding album.
I think my parents biggest gift is a future son in law that loves me (and obviously them) enough to deal with me and take me off their hands forever lol

I would maybe get them something small like and engraved frame or something like that. We are in the same boat (paying for everything ourselves - our choice though) but that's not to say they haven't done enough for us over the years so we did want to get them something. Also, FIL's will be paying for the RD and my mother paid for my dress and all my accessories and will be paying for my hair and makeup as well. My dad has been getting FH a lot of side work through is job which has really helped with saving for the wedding.
We are getting them: Personalized Frames Personlized Wine Glasses (for the moms) Personalized Beer Pilsners (for the dads)
and then after we get our proofs back we will be making them albums on Shutterfly with our epics and weddings pics.
