Gifts for parents

Gifts for parents

Is it customary to give gifts to our parents on the wedding day? I remember reading somewhere that the groom may give a gift to his ffil or something like that. tia!

I not sure proper etiquette on this but I am get them personalized frames as a gift anyway even though we did the whole wedding on our own. I figure they are parents they deserve atleast something

we are not doing gifts for our parents. both of our parents have made it clear that they donot want gifts from us because we are getting married. it is our day and not theirs.
even if they had not said that to us, i don't think we would have gotten them anything anyway. not being mean, just the way it would have worked out

We purchased albums from our photographer...they obviously won't be ready the day of but I thought that was a nice gift!

I'm not really sure what you're are supposed to do, but we are giving gifts to all our parents. They are not paying for the wedding but that isn't to say they haven't done enough for us over the years and we would like to thank them some way.

We are going to be giving them a gift at the RD and then parent albums after the wedding.

I dont know what Im gonna get them......i was thinking for moms we could get pandora bracelets w some sort of wedding charm and maybe our birthstones, and then when we have kids we can get them charms for that too

I think we're doing the same thing... then for Christmas I'm going to make up photo albums like I did a few years back for my mom's 50th, of our wedding.... like a coffee table book - I have a Mac and get them ordered through Kodak w/ Mac... they come out AMAZING!
