Gifts from people not attending wedding

Does anyone else feel silly or a bit uncomfortable when you get wedding gifts from people who RSVP 'no'??

So we have this honeymoon registry on our website and people have been quite generous - they actually give us $ -- but I feel a bit weird about accepting $ from people who are not even coming! I don't want them to think I only invited them for the gift ... anyone else feel this way??

I always send a gift to the couple if I can't attend. I don't think people feel you're inviting them for gifts only.

Everyone does it. its the right thing to do. I missed 4 weddings in the past few years and I gave nice gifts to all of them.
