Gifts received question

I have the Disney Honeymoon Registry, and we have 'received' gifts from our guests. When do I send a thank you note, now, after the shower or after the wedding?

If its a shower gift... after the shower

if it's a wedding gift, after the wedding.

Anything you receive before your shower, I'd send thanks you's with the shower thank you's.

Anything after that, mention the gift in the wedding thank you.

It's a registry, so I don't think you need to send thank yous as they come it, people don't know you're checking it every day, KWIM?

because it is a honeymoon registry i almost want to say to wait until after the honeymoon so your thank you can say how much you enjoyed whatever it is.

but if it is a shower gift, maybe send one now and send another later? i don't know...

Good point.

But people may do the HM regitry gift ILO a shower gift..

So I'd send a shower thank you, and then maybe a little honeymoon synopsis to everyone, with a photo after the trip to say how much you enjoyed your trip and all the things you go to do? SO you just send everyone a little after honeymoon newsletter? That's probably how I would handle it.

I like the idea of sending something after the trip to say how much you enjoyed, but people might be like *** if there's months and month of time between when they give the gift and when you acknowledge it, so I'd do it thank you after the shower or wedding depending on when the gift was given, and then the follow up newsletter.

well, if the honeymoon is right after the wedding they can certainly wait on the thank you until after the hm. we are going on our hm 2 days after the wedding and there's no way i am going to do thank yous during those 2 days
