is there a section at reception area where guests can put their gifts and where the bride is suppose to put the cardbox??
how do you know if the cardbox is not invaded by other people? because i read a posting recently that 'people' actually steal from there..
please help. thanks!

We had our cardbox right behind our sweetheart table. Just make sure you put it in a very visible area. My cardbox was one of those from For the Modern Bride and it was impossible to open even after we brought it home full of cards! I've seen many cardboxes (birdcages, chests etc.) that are very easy to open, but as long as it is in a spot where people could see it, you have nothing to worry about. Isn't it sad that this is something that we have to deal with!?

we also had the cardbox behind our sweetheart table. Plus it was pretty big and i wanted it big so this way somebody wouldnt be able to just walk out with it. Plus I also got mine from the modern bride and same thing, there was a small slot to put envelopes in but you couldn't put your hands through it at all, and to open it i had to read the directions the day after the wedding hahaha, you had to pull the ribbon that was on top and was you pull down on that the middle part opened up and then you were able to pull it up

We had ours behind the sweetheart table as well. It was large and not easy to conceal. I also taped a heavy book inside just to make it heavier.
