Gimme the dirt on Sand Castle

I have just recently booked the Sand Castle. My wedding date is September 16 2006. I know it sounds a bit late but we figured that we wanted to buy a house before the wedding. I just wanted to see if anyone has had or having a wedding there in the upcoming future. Thanks a bunch

Well I am obviously biased but I REALLY love it there. They have been great so far. What room are you getting married in?

We did our food tasting back in February and were very very happy with it!

Hey Kim,

I am getting married at Floral Terrace, who has the same owners....food and service is impeccable. Plus, both places are taken care of very well.My FSIL got married at Sandcastle and had an amazing wedding. Hope this helps

The room we are having is the main ballroom with the skylight room as our cocktail hour. So far so good. My 1st choice was Sand Castle 2nd was Jericho Terrace (loved it soo much) but I felt that SC was offering more at a better price

And to you too~ I will write down to FM you after the christening I attend. My landlords are having their daughters christening party at the SC since it is so close to home.

Hey Kim. You have made a great selection and there is absolutely nothing to worry about. I'm not getting married there, but am having my e-party there as Deb indicated. I met w/ the banquet manager George and he was such a pleasure to do business with. I'm having my cocktail hour downstairs and then dinner, etc. will be held upstairs in the skylight room. I'm not sure if you know, but there are king/ queen seats that are elevated in the air and come down as you are walking out of the side door. The banquet manager told me that as you walk out there will be smoke coming out and will give the illusion as though you came from the the seats coming down.

I also like the idea that the DJ is on a stage and not placed on the dance floor according to people's level...Ohhh, the stage can actually be pushed forward rather than being sunk into the wall. I just think that the DJ on the stage gives it an awesome touch. I was at the SandCastle in Feb 2004 for a Sweet Sixteen...let me tell you...the food was MAGNIFECENT. It was soooooo, soooooo, soooooo good. Like the other gals have said, I have yet to hear anything negative about SandCastle. They also have a garden to the side of the hall to take pic's. It's very pretty, but the only down part is that it's somewhat small IMO. But, you can always go take pic's elsewhere and not at the hall.

SandCastle really works w/ you and what you want. They definitely offer you tons, especially during cocktail hour. If you want any other info on prices (E-party is on a Sat. night),menu, etc...feel free to FM. I think it's a really good idea that you want to save up first and buy a house before the wedding. Me and my FI are also doing this, and are planning a 2007 wedding. Personally, I like it when things aren't rushed. Hope this Helps! Good Luck.

P.S.-Relax, you've made an excellent choice.
