Giorgio's Brides- Hotel Room Blocks?

Hi girls- I was wondering what other Giorgio's brides are doing in terms of hotel blocks since there are only 3 local options.

The Hilton Garden Inn does not provide shuttles
The Holiday Inn Express rates are awfully high for their brance- but do provide a shuttle and continental b-fast
The Hotel Indigo (soon to re-open) rates are SOOOO high!!! I can't realistically ask guests to pay any of these hotel rates I feel!

I also want to get ready at the hotel and take pix there, so I would like a nice B-suite.

Are any of you blocking at a hotel futher west and just booking a bus to shuttle guests instead? If you wouldn't mind FM-ing me with the rates you were given for any of the above hotels, or wherever you ended up blocking? Also, how much would a shuttle for the guests run me if it's not included at the hotel?

My wedding is Columbus Day WE, could that be part of why the rates are so astronomical???

TIA!!!!

I booked the holiday inn express ... I think we had 13 rooms booked ...

George Jr called them and told them I should be getting a shuttle .. by then I already had a limo bus for the guests and they gave me the suite free the night of the wedding ...

The wedding was February and our rooms for the guests were $99 ...

Good Luck HTH

bridezilla2b how was the Holiday Inn? I was thinking of staying at Hotel Indigo because I thought the Holiday Inn didnt have a bar or dining room, but Indigo is more expensive. Anyone know when Indigo is opening?

ours was columbus day weekend, we blocked at all 3... guests stayed at holiday inn and what was then the Best Western. I think BW was $165 and Holiday Inn was $189?

They gave us shuttles to both hotels, and they worked out fabulously.....we stayed at Holiday the wedding night in the bridal suite.... honestly we were in it for like 5 hours we kinda wish we didn't spend the $$ and got a normal room lol but it was really nice and had champagne waiting for us

I feel your pain. My FH got all excited about keeping the party going and moving to the Holiday Inn. We also have a Holiday weekend (Labor day weekend). It's like 200 and change each room with the block. Luckly, we wouldn't really have that many guests staying but so much for our afterparty :(

I'm staying there next week! We have 21 rooms booked. We're using their lounge for our 'welcome' dinner. It does have a roll out bar that people can use and it only costs 100 bucks for them to keep it open an extra two hours I believe.

Ugh I could totally be ok with those rates!!! Because of the new Hotel Indigo, they no longer allow you to block at both the Holiday Inn and BW (now Hotel Indigo)- and the rates they are giving me are $209 and $219 a night!!! Doesn't that seem just a little ridiculous?!?
