Re: Giorgio's OR Lombardi's on the Sound
I have never really seen Giorgios but where do you picture yourself getting married? You can see the water right from the balcony at Lombardis on the sound which is amazing!! We are getting married at Villa and i love it!! They are both great places!!

Well it would be the end of oct. or beginning of nov... so the view would only be a small factor.

FH and I debated back and forth over our top two places for like 3 weeks before finally picking Giorgio's. (I've never been to Lombardi's on the Sound, so I can't compare for you). Know that you can't go wrong either way! You really can't make a bad decision here. If you want, negotiate with both and choose the one that'll give you a better deal. Or do a tasting at both and pick the one with better food. Or pick the one that's easier to work with and makes you feel more comfortable. Or flip a coin.
Do your parents have an opinion on the places? In the end, hearing my parents' thoughts helped us make what was essentially an arbitrary choice.
Ugh it's so hard! I like each of them for different reasons haha. I feel more comfortable with Lombardi's however, its a little smaller than Giorgio's and Giorgio's ball room is GORGEOUS! They're giving us pretty much the same deal except Giorgio's won't budge on their 150 guarantee and FH is more comfortable with the 140 that Lombardi's is asking for.
It seemed like Lombardi's was more willing to throw in extras than Giorgio's is.

Re: Giorgio's OR Lombardi's on the Sound
Personaly--- fellow brides don't get mad at me!--- I think Lombardi's is over-rated. I've been to Lombardi's and have yet to be impressed. I haven't been to a Giorgio's event but have heard very good things from critical people, and when booking an RH DH and I looked their and really liked it. We just weren't crazy about the CH to reception flow.

i'm totally biased, but i'd pick Giorgio's. I've been to both and they really are VERY different. Giorgio's is one wedding at a time, which was very important to me and, in my opinion, they are very willing to work with you, especially if you're flexible on the date/time. You also get very personalized service with them - you're dealing directly with the owners for everything. Not sure if Lombardi's is like that, but i'd imagine not because they have multiple locations.
Feel free to FM me if you have any other questions!!!

Re: Giorgio's OR Lombardi's on the Sound
Thanks! Lombardi's was beautiful but it was just too small for 150+ guests. I don't like going to weddings when you feel like the room is too small!
