Girl Ringbearer?

Girl Ringbearer?

We have a bit of an issue. FH has 3 cousins, ages 9, 15 and 18. The 9 year old is our flower girl, and the 18 year old is a groomsman. I ran into the 15 year old today and she was telling me all about her sweet sixteen and how she has a special thing planned for FH because he means so much to her.. and now we're feeling really bad that we don't have her included. Since the bridesmaid dresses are already ordered and its too late to ask her because then it will be obvious that we're asking her so late.. we were thinking of asking her to bring the rings down. Do you think that's weird?

We figure this can work because we actually haven't officially asked our flower girl to be in our bridal party yet... everyone knows she will be because she's the youngest girl in the family, but we never officially asked her, so we were thinking of asking the both of them this week one night after dinner... What do you girls think? Do you think its ok to have a girl ring bearer? We figured instead of putting the rings on a pillow, she could carry something a little more feminine..

u can totally stil order her a dress.. even as a junior bridesmaid!! just pay a lil extra to rush the order. it'll mean soo much to her. its worth the extra cash.

I would never say you cant do that, because its your wedding and you can do whatever you want... She doesnt have to be labeled as the ring bearer. She can still hold the rings and bring them to you guys when the time comes!

If she was younger I would say YES! GO FOR IT!!!
I would make her a jr BM only bcuz of her age and let her pick a dress that she likes that will go with you BM as well

I dont see anything wrong with that. I went to a wedding last weekend and her nephew walked down with her mom and he threw the flowers that were in the basket that her mother was holding. It doesn't matter what sex the child is because it's your wedding.

I think if you and Fh really want her to be apart of the wedding, I think you should call and see how much trouble it would be to order one more dress... Or find something similar or that will match. I think at her age though to call her Ring Bearer it might be a little too old:-/ Just my opinion.

I think 15 is a little too old. like others said - try to rush order a dress

Thank you for all your opinions - I appreciate it! FH is gonna be home from work soon and we're gonna discuss it more in depth.
