That's what I did for WM... I wound up paying $30 pp less for a day wedding, I get the bigger room with a much lower minimum (140 afternoon vs. 225 evening) and with the money you save, you can keep the party going afterwards. I plan on renting two suites (one for us for the night) and one for all of our friends to come to after the wedding. I figure I can get a deli in the area to bring a hero and lots of beer and it'll be like another party! If you can get over not having a wedding at night, it totally works!

I really love the day wedding idea too, but it just will not work for me because of all our out of towners. I think it is a great idea though. My FMIL is just worried that people will then be obligated to stay 2 nights in a hotel instead of one since they would not be able to make it to the ceremony in time if it was at 11 for the day wedding, so they would come friday night but then obviously after all the drinking at the wedding would have to stay saturday night too. aaahhh. too much to think about.
I wish i could do a day wedding bc then i would have so many more RH's to choose from, or i could have my dream location (venetian yacht club). Oh well.
