I decided to do a donation for the wedding instead of a favor. What did you do to inform your guests that that is what you did? If you typed it up and put it in a frame where did you put it during the wedding?

We did this. . we also did small bags of Jordan almonds which we put on each guests plate. they were in a little bag with a card attached. on one side was a poem about the jordan almonds and on the other we put 'in lieu of favors a donation has been made. . and the two places and why we chose them' I can find a pic if that helps. .

We just did this!! LOL
We are going to have 4 donation cards per table, as well as have them on little favor tags (we're putting hershey kisses in tulle).
Invitations and Beyond are doing it for us.

Ok so you had cards put at each table stating that in lieu of a favor you made a donation to so and so?

where did u put the scrolls? On the dinner tables?
