Girls doing (or who did) after-parties

I am holding one in our hotel's conference room, since the bar closes kind of on the early side. Are you girls paying for a bar/bartender to come in the room, with food or anything?

FH and I can't afford this and are just doing a BYOB thing...but I've never held a party without providing food and drinks. Is this ok? I did let everyone know of the plan but I feel bad about it....

I'm thinking I'll at the very least drop off a veggie/snack platter for afterwards...

What did you guys do?

We paid to have the hotel bar stay open for only our guests till 4am. It was great. We also called and had pizzas delivered since everyone was hammered by that point and it was a HUGE hit!!
