Girls doing slipper baskets for guests

Girls doing slipper baskets for guests

where are you doing the slippers from. Every place I have found that makes them wants a minimum order of 300+ pairs to customize. That is insane. I tried hotel suppliers who might have the kind you get at a hotel and they have huge minimum orders also.

why dont you split the cost with someone on here who was looking to get them as well.

I'm having a 'think out of the box' day

ETA - well not if you are customizing them - that is.

Deb - what do you mean 'customize?'

I was going to go to Pearl Market and get the $1 per pair slip on ones...

Well, we were going to continue our monogram theme on them but I guess that is the rate limiting aspect.

These are the ones bridget&jimmy and I split but we got lucky I guess - we only had to order a case of 108.

ETS: By the way, they are REALLY comfy

there is a seller on ebay selling waffle slipper for $2 a pair - for a lot of 25 for a total of $50

waffle slippers

you could wrap each pair with a bow and your monogram as a tag

If anyone wants to split it 5 ways (4 people would end up with 29 pairs, one person would get 28) it would cost LESS THAN $25 each! (I think.. someone said they were $112 and change for the the case).

I don't want to put more than 30 pairs of slippers in a basket for the bathroom, so if anyone wants to split it 5 ways, I'm game! Just let me know.

Well from the people who supply Westin Hotels -- to customize, they want a gross of 1000-not gonna happen. I like this Chinese slipper idea -- how much are those -- those I could eve match to our color scheme -- gotta figure you can do chinese slippers in RED!

I have a silly question about slippers....how do you ensure OTHER guests from any OTHER weddings going on at the same time don't take them when they see them in the ladies' bathroom????

I bought 30 black Chinese slippers from the flea market in sizes 7-10. Going to put them in a black organza bag and wrap with red ribbon and attach a tag with the size. The Chinese slippers were 3 for 5. I think this is the cutest idea. I have never been to a wedding where this was done and I would love to be a guest and have a pair of slippers to put on.

Oh and Deb those white comfy slippers are awesome. I got a pair in New Orleans and I wear them all the time. Too bad you would have to order 1000 pairs.

Good point. I think it would only work if your reception location had only one affair at a time.

Major cute -- and they are even formal for people wearing evening wear!

I love the slipper idea!
and i love the personalization of the monogram...

i love monograms.. but like with so many other things (like those tht you can have engraved)... i dont know how i, as a guest, would feel about wearing someone else's monogram.. same thing like with decorative favors that have other peoples monograms.

i think the idea is cute, but i would want my Own monogram on them JMO.

I love this idea too! I love the hotel slippers, but I think people would stop dancing once they put them on. I think you're able to move better in the chinese slippers- and more people would keep dancing.
