Girls doing wine/burgandy BM dresses

and ivory wedding gown...

what color vests and ties are you doing for the groomsmen?

I only fit the first part of the bill, my dress is white, not ivory, but the groomsmen are wearing charcoal ties & vest. the patteern I liked didn'thave a burgandy.

The GM will wear burgundy vests and black ties, FH will wear a black vest and tie.

thanks everyone!...I chose the wine color too already but I kept thinking maybe just do black ...didn't want them to look like an oldies doo wop group..but I like the look...

we had the groomsmen in charcoal vests with matching long ties.
The groom was in tux with shirt- no vest or cumberbund- long black tie- he looked hot.
fathers/grandpas- they were same tux as groomsmen, but with black vest/bow ties

My BMs were in wine and the GMs were in black tuxes with gray vests and black bow ties..it looked nice. The wine colored vests and the dresses were too much

We also did matching wine colored vests/ties for the GM with ivory shirts. DH wore ivory shirt, wine vest, ivory tie. He picked it all out himself (the only request I made was ivory shirts).

I have'nt picked out my bridesmaids dresses yet but I definately am going to go with a burgandy or wine color. I just love the way it looks I fell in love with this color when I went to my friends wedding I hope she does'nt think I am copying off of her because she is coming to my wedding.

our ushers are all having different colors - but i guess it is because they are all in costume so their vests are varied - like them - LOL

September2004 gave me a great idea...
I got swatches from the BM's dresses and a swatch from mine
and we are bringing it to the tux place to see what looks better

Since i have an off white gown, my FH is wearing off white vest, shirt and tie.

IMO i think that the groomsmen should wear offwhite shirts as well!
So we are going to see today what vests and ties look best with it and the
