Girls, First fitting??

I have my first fitting tomorrow, and they mentioned about payment in full? Really at the first fitting? I thought it would be at the final fitting.
When did you pay your balance?

my contract says the remaining balance is due at the time of the first fitting. I guess it makes sense since they want to make sure the dress is paid in full before they start cutting and alterting it to fit you.

I'm going for my first fitting on Thursday, but I think final payment is when I pick it up.

Seems kind of early for your first fitting no? I had to pay part of the balance at my first and the rest will be at my final in early March.

Our balance on the gown was due at first fitting. We still owe for alterations.

I paid for my gown once it came in. My contract said I had 30 days from then. I have to set up my first fitting appt in the next week or so.

I just paid mine yesterday when I 'previewed' it. I won't do fittings until 5 weeks before the wedding. But yeah, it makes sense that you should pay for the dress before they start cutting it up.
