girls from queens, i need your help!!!

Original post by Laura1976

have any of you seen or been to the Anchor Motor Inn on Northern in bayside?

is it a decent place?
i'm looking for 2nd motel to reserve rooms at for my OOT guests. I'm not looking for a swanky place, i'm reserving rooms at The Andrew already, but I wanted something a little more affordable for other guests.

thanks!

...If I were you I would have them stay at one of the Hotels Near LGA or JFK. OR move them out to Long Island and Book the Hilton Garden inn or the Red Roof Inn by Roosevelt Field Mall...

I agree. Unfortunately, the north shore between LGA and western Nassau is kind of a lodging wasteland. I think the Adria is a better choice than the Anchor, but I really don't think it's much better. I agree with the above poster with recommending airport-area hotels if folks need to be in Queens, or sticking with Nassau hotels otherwise.

I had my guests stay at the Marriott by LGA, I wasn't too happy with the Ramada/Adria on Northern Blvd.

Good luck.

I haven't stayed there but my friend used it as one of her hotels and guests complained that the rooms smelled of smoke. I just used the Adria Ramada and it worked out great. The rooms aren't spectacular but they were clean and the cheapest rooms I could find that still had a private bathroom Plus it was really close to the LIRR and they were able to get to Penn Station in 20 minutes.

I wouldn't stay at the Adria in Bayside. I had a pretty disturbing experience there.... FM me if you want more information (its too disgusting to post here).

The Inn at Great Neck is only like 15 minutes from there, and it's REALLY nice... I've never seen a room, but I've eaten dinner in the restaurant and it's very upscale looking.

This is a great thread. I live in bayside so these hotels mentioned are really close to me. I was thinking the same thing the other day. If I had guest come, where would I put them! I was thinking of checking the same ones mentioned before too!

Which hotels in Queens/Nassau would you recommend that is decent priced?
