Re: Girls getting married at Catholic churches..
you don't tip the priest... the donation goes to the church. him marrying you is part of his duty as a priest... to adminster the sacraments. a thoughtful gift like a gift card or bottle of wine, something along those lines is fine, but not necessary. we gave our priest a gift because he was a friend of ours.

Re: Girls getting married at Catholic churches..
yeah we're definitely not tipping him, that would just feel wrong to me. Maybe a card or something. We also invited him to the reception, so I feel that's a good enough gift...in addition to the church donation of almost 500 bucks!

Re: Girls getting married at Catholic churches..
my uncle is a priest and he thinks tipping is 'rude' -I would suggest just giving a gift that the folks in the parish office will be able to share and enjoy - like a gift basket or something

Re: Girls getting married at Catholic churches..
our donation was 700 (500 for the church, 200 for the organist...) we still had to pay for the organist even if we brought our own musicians..
we didn't tip our priest..
