Girls getting married at the hall

Girls getting married at the hall

What is your ceremony going to be like? Will you have readings (I dont even know if they do readings if they are not in a church). What about a unity candle? We are considering have our ceremony at Giorgio's, but I still want the ceremony to be religious. What can still be done?

We are having a short religious ceremony at the RH. Not sure about readings yet but not having a Unity Candle.

We're having a short religious ceremony too. The whole thing should take about 20 minutes. Two readings will be read by our officiant.

If I ever find an officiant, I will let you know

I got married at Giorgio's too. We had a Catholic priest (not an RC priest) marry us. It was very nice. FM me if you have questions.

And honestly, don't sweat this. We didn't finalize our officiant til 2 and half weeks before the wedding. It will work out.

We had one reading and did a unity candle. Our ceremony wasn't religious- but we didn't want it to be. You can really do anything you want at the hall- thats the beauty of it. Talk to your officiant.

My RH has a separate chapel. We have a 20 minutes ceremony or about.

We are just starting on the outline. It will include, readings (1 or 2), vows, etc.

You can do the candle, acknowledge other people, etc...

You can really adapt to your own beliefs, preferences, etc..

I definitely think you should incorporate all of the aspects you want into your ceremony. We're having 2 reading, the unity candle, and one of my BM's is going to sing as well. I would have a talk with the person marrying you to find out if they have any ideas.

We are having a religious ceremony at our RH with 2 readings and the unity candle. We are an interfaith couple but we are incorperating both faiths.

We are having ours at the RH. Two readings will be done by the officiant (we could have had readers, but we wanted to minimize everything). We are also having a unity candle.

It will be short and sweet - hopefully!

it can still be religious! ask your offiiciant for ideas. we are still having spiritual readings, a huppah, etc., even though we are getting married at the reception site.

Same here...we are interfaith. Only we are doing 3 readings...1 from the Old Testament, 1 from the New and the Prayer of the Faithful....also doing unity candle, wine blessing and breaking of the glass.

We had our wedding at East Wind and Father Joe DeVincenzo was our officiant. We didn't have any readings, but we did have the unity candle. We had DH godfather say a few words instead of a reading. Father Joe said we could make our ceremony as religious or non-religious as we wanted. He was great to work with and we were very comfortable with him.

It rained on our wedding day, so we had an inside ceremony, but it was still very beautiful and meaningful.

We are getting married at EW (pray for sun chicas), and we are having two readres, unity candle, soloist, etc. I still wanted a traditional ceremony.

I think you can still have a traditional, religious ceremony even if you get married at your RH. The beauty of having it there is that you probably have the ability to use your creativity and have more of a say in what you can/cannot do.

Good luck and I'm sorry for all the issues you are having with your church!

I'm doing a ceremony at Giorigo's and I'm using Father Tom. He's a retired RC priest...RC priests won't marry you outside the church.

He will let us design our own ceremony to have it be as religious or not as we like. I'm doing the sand ceremony instead of the unity candle. The rest I may keep more traditional.
