Is it recommended to put an earlier start time on the invitation? My ceremony starts at 2 PM. Should I put 1:45? I'd really rather not..

Re: Girls getting married in a Church..
I'm not putting an earlier time. If you put it 15 minutes early that's all fine and well for the guests who would've shown up late. But what about the guests that get there 15 minutes early? Now they're there 30 minutes early and they've got nothing to do and they're in the way of people trying to set up and it's a mess. If you're late for my wedding, your loss!

Re: Girls getting married in a Church..
I put 1/2 an hour earlier. Two reasons: 1. My family is late for everything and 2. We had to leave a deposit to assure the church that we would start the ceremony on time. If not we lose the deposit ($400 to be exact).

Put the real start time on your invite-If people are late it is their loss. I think it is inconsiderate to put an earlier time on the invite and make people sit around and wait.

Re: Girls getting married in a Church..
I am considering doing 15 minutes earlier for two reasons. I must be ontime for the church or the priest has already told me I will get a service instead of a full mass. Also my church has no vestibule, so if people are late, the door is creaky and will be heard every it opens and closes- in a really small church that seats only 200, I would rather not have to hear that during my ceremony.
