i was going to go tonight to hand cancel them and send them out but then i saw thunderstorms tomorrow so i want to wait until wednesday
so, FH says 'i will take them Wednesday morning, don't worry about it'
I explained that he didn't know how to hand cancel them, and he replied that I don't know how to do them either he will just ask.
So I said that I would see but OMG I have done EVERYTHING for this wedding - how can I give up control over this? What if he does something wrong?!
So just tell me it is okay to let him take care of it and I am being crazy.

I went to the post office on Sat to mail my STD's and asked if i could hand cancel them - they told me they dont let people do them anymore he would have to do them later.

i called earlier and the guy said ' as long as you do it yourself you can come any time'
every PO is different i guess!

It'll be okay!! my FH was the one that took our invites to the post office to be hand cancelled too. I wrote him directions on what to ask for and everyone got theirs in perfect condition!

ok at the PO the invites go through TWO machines the first one is the one at YOUR PO and the second one is at the receiving PO.
when you hand cancel it stops the invite from going through the FIRST machine and getting all stamped all over
i have REALLY THICK invitations so the woman said i should hand cancel them - meaning they give you an actual stamp ( as in an INK stamp ) and you stamp over the postage on the envelope and then it doesnt go through that first machine
this is how i understand it anyway

yeah i wasnt planning on doing it actually i think its stupid LOL but the lady said they were too thick so now i am paranoid
but you are right - i am sure they will be okay either way!

Im sure those are just as important to him as they are to you. If he doesnt want a bridezilla on his hands he WILL take care of the invites. I would trust my FH to deliver them but not pick them out
