We're not going for our HM. however we've been there a million times.. I definately recommend the dining plan (not the deluxe- for us too much food) the one where u get lunch and dinner is great. Hotel wise depending on price range the Polynesian, Grand Floridian, Yacht Club are awesome but in the high bracket or Coronado Springs Resort is beautiful and it's in the moderate price bracket

FH and I are going for our HM. We are staying at the Grand Floridian. We are doing the dining plan(not the deluxe I also feel that this is too much food.) I have also have done disney with out the dining plan and end up spending a lot more on food. We are also renting a car because we plan to do activities off of the disney property. If you are planning on staying on property only there is not necessarily a need to rent a car. The buses and monorail system work very well. I go to disney almost every year so feel to FM with any questions.

Definitely get the meal plan. I prefer the wine and dine because we like to have a bottle of wine with dinner. The meal plans definitely save you money.

We are not going to Disney for our HM but I go at least 2-3 times a year (I own a disney timeshare). The great thing about disney is that no matter if you stay at the budget All Star hotels or the Grand Floridian, you get the same excellent disney service.

While I love the Grand Floridian and the Polynesian (and can't wait to try out the new Contemporary Towers), right now we prefer Epcot over the other parks so we like to stay in the Epcot Area (Boardwalk, Yacht & Beach Club).

If you book before June, you get the dining plan for free if you book 6 nights, 7 days. I would NOT recommend Coronado Springs as your hotel. We were just there for 4 days at the tail end our honeymoon and it was so outdated, the buses were unreliable, no wireless internet, and it took an hour for our bags to get to our room. And definitely at least go moderate (Caribbean Beach was great) because at the All Stars, there's a ton of kids and the buses are REALLY bad.

We are doing the regular dining plan, but staying club level at the Polynesian. Club Level aka Concierge has its own building with a lounge that offers continental breakfast all morning, and beer/wine hors d'oeuvres in the evenings. Also cordials and desserts late night! It's a lot (our 4 nights in Disney is costing more than the 7 nights all-inclusive in Costa Rica we're doing right after!!!) to spend, but we're Disney obsessed and wanted to do it all out, you know? We personally feel like the Value Resorts get the best bang for your buck, and the busses run great, and rooms are clean and new. I feel either a Deluxe or a Value for a Disney resort, but the Moderates aren't worth it. Definitely do one of the dining plans, they are WELL worth the money. The Wilderness Lodge in my opinion is the best kept Deluxe resort secret. The rooms are most reasonable, and the transportation is really good. We LOVED our stay there. FM me for questions!!! xoxo
