I'm going to wear either a black jersey dress that's long sleeve v-neck/short skirt, or a dress that's a black jersey ruched tube with a white crinoline skirt with black beading....probably with a black cardigan over it.

I bought an ivory and silver dress for both the church rehearsal and the dinner at the restaurant afterwards. It's knee length and has spaghetti straps.

No that's really cute!
I had a dress with spaghetti straps but I wore a shrug in the church... even though it was 8943593 degrees in there.

if you are concerned, you can always wear a cardigan in church and then take it off at RD....you might want to anyway, because in Dec you might be chilly? Just a thought... :)

Not at all, I think it's fine. I'm wearing a little bolero with mine for the church becaue it's spaghetti straps on top but I love it and thought if would be perfect for the RD. I think that dress is cute and I say go for it! Believe me, I've seen people in more revealing clothes at Sunday Mass, I don't kow what goes thru their minds

I wore this.... a bright magenta dress.... I think its fine...but you could always put a wrap on or something in the church.

haha what are the odds that the random number you typed in there used to be my room number when I lived with my mother?? haha!! Well almost... it was 8943953 instead of the 3593.
And... nope I don't think that is too showy. I think it's perfectly fine to wear.
