Girls I need a little advise please... Ring issue...UP DATE!!!!

Okay my FH and I were hurried in to an E-party because his parents were mad that they found out we were getting married over the internet. (reason, because we were going to wait until EVERYTHING was planned before we told them were getting married, mostly because we feared the problems it would cause.) Any way my FH bought me a small CZ ring for the E-party until he could get me a diamond.
Well I went on ebay looking at white sapphires, because my mom told me how nice they looked, and the first ring I saw she liked and insisted I buy. The ring came today and it is beautiful, but I love the ring my FH gave me because he gave it to me. My mom wants me to wear the sapphire ring for my wedding and all the time. My FH knows I ordered the ring, but doesn't know it already came, I'm at moms house. I don't know, I will admit I love the new ring, but I love the ring my FH gave me. What do you think I should do?

My FH wants me to keep the new ring. He says it looks to beautiful on me to take it off. He said he'll be buy me earings or something instead and I'm wearing the other two rings, (the CZ and handfasting ring the right finger) I love him!

PLEASE do not take this wrong but....why do you have to listen to what your mom wants??? Isnt this YOUR engagement and your FH's engagement?????????? You should wear WHATEVER you want and be happy!!!

I understand, but I love both rings, but I'm torn, wear what my FH gave me or wear this new ring.

I know that I can't keep anythink from my FH. I would let him know that it came in. As far as wearing the new ring all the time, can you explain to her that you want your ring to be a symbol of his love and devotion that came from HIM? Maybe agree to wear it until you get the diamond from him? I don't know the situations you have to deal with, and I know how mothers can be, but it sounds like you need to deal with your mom and get her to realize that it is your life and your wedding and your ring. I'll admit this is a tough one. Good luck we are here for you!!

Bonnie - if you love the ring FH gave you - enuff said!!!! He gave it to you, it's special, and it's the ring you should wear the day you get married. You like the other ring, fine - I usually wear three rings, my e-ring, my law school ring, and another ring I bought for myself that I love. Before the e-ring I wore four, but now I don't want to wear anything on my left hand except for e-ring. There is no reason you can't wear the other ring on the opposite hand.

Wow, all those posts came in as I was writing mine...you girls are FAST!!!! Had another thought. What if you wear your moms ring on special occasions? But on the other hand or something. Like i said before it is a symbol from HIM, so you should wear his ring. (and from your original post I can see that you feel this too)

I def think you should wear the ring your FH gave you as your engagement ring. It's special because he gave it to you. If you still like the other one, then wear it on another finger. It's about the meaning behind the ring.
