My Best friend is getting married Satruday and we need help ASAP.
She has no placecards right now, because we bought the standard ones at Michales and its jamming up both our computers when we try to print them. Then she thought that she could buy the small silver frames and print the names on clear labels and stick in the frames BUT.....no one has 115 frames!
Do you have any ideas of what she can do? I called Wrap with us (cant do it), Michales (is doing inventory so they dont have the frames), Staples was no help, and the local invitation stores wont have them done in time.
Any help woud be greatly appreacited!

Why not write them in calligraphy instead of printing them.

yeah my advice is to just write the names on the place cards yourselves...it wont be that bad...you can even buy a gold calligraphy pen to make it look a little nicer. You can just write in regular print though dont have to do calligraphy but that pen makes it look nicer

Maybe she can make a seating chart and have it blown up at staples and get it framed. You can probably get an isle from Michaels . I have a template if you want. Or maybe you can handwrite it or take them to a calligrapher.

target has a pretty good selection of placecards as well as party city. At party city they come with a program/web address to help with the printing.

What if you try bed bath and beyond or even costoc/price club for the frames?
What about going to your local library and using their computers to print on the place cards?
What about a local university's computer lab? Do you have a student id anywhere or know anyone who does?
What about asking kinkos to print on them?

My first wedding - i used the placecards from the hall - but i didnt want to hand write so i used clear labels and put them on the place cards.
If your printer will do labels -print the labels and then attach to the cards.

I agree, if you don't want to write them try the clear labels. You can also try Attias fle market. There is a man who has a booth there that sells place card holders. Maybe he has extra inventory. Good luck!

i went to a wedding where they had a blow up of the names in abc order then next to hit the table they were sitting at. it was different. and you can get creative with it. just a thought

I would just write it out yourself w/a calligraphy pen. Or if you want to ditch the placecard idea you can have the name & table no.'s incorporated on / with the favor.

what about using 4 or 5 different silver frames....that might be easier to find than 100+ of 1 style.
Or, print the names on a larger sheet of card stock, cut them down to size, and score it so it folds (or cut them down to size and insert it into the frames)
