This is a repost from BHB board but I dont care at this point I need your help!
I have the Epson Stylus 5400x and it wont print in any other color but yellow and occasionally in green! What id going on? Did any of this ever happen to you girls???

May be silly, but did you recently replace the ink cartridge and forget to take the protective strip off? If it isn't that, then the printer should have a maintanance option to test the ink catridges. I would try that. Good luck getting it fixed.

The color ink cartridge is prob. running out of ink...usually the red tone goes first.

Maybe try cleaning the heads? I would go through the troubleshooting options, I find this helps sometimes.

I removed everything and all cartridges are new...I clean the friggin thing like 10x...Im so upset bc I need to print something in a peachy color and darn it I cant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Its definitely the printer right???

In your document (that you want to print), go to File, Print, Print properties & then there should be a 'color' tab

All the other colors come out fine...
Could be the ink cartridge is pushing out the color and then the printhead is jammed (wont let ink out). Might need a new printhead.

Cindy-I explored that option like a 100x...I dont know what is wrong with its red color...like I said it prints everything else mint! I guess Im gonan call Epson on Monday and trouble shoot with them...thanks girls or your help though...jeesh I really exhausted myself here...

I finally fixed it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! One of the girls on here GinaandTommy told me to take out the cartridge and bang it on the floor and wait overnight....thats what I did and it worked!!!!!!
Gosh seriously girls what would I do without you!!!!!!!!!!!!
