Floral Designs with Dried Hydrangeas, from my backyard!!!!!!! Do any of you create dried floral arrangements? I have seen beautiful wreaths with hydrangeas. I googled 'drying hydrangeas naturally'. Here are the blooms I cut tonight. They reflect their change to autuum color, although acidity of the soil is also a color changer. In the online article, it says harvesting can be done between August and October, and fresh blossoms don't dry well. So here's some pics of my prettiful flowers!!! Mary MOB

Mary, how exactly do you dry them? I have blue hydrangeas that also turn that color but they always get so shrivelled up when I try to dry them. Yours look gorgeous!

Oh, honey, I just cut these tonight!!! Whoa, hope mine dry ok!!! Here's the article I looked at!! They discuss that timing is important in cutting. I'm just air drying. Mary MOB
