Girls Next Door....anyone else watch??

I agree it is all show, as is most reality TV (I won't digress into my brushes with reality tv but you get the point). I do LOVE Kendra, but they show her in a certain way, like a cartoon character. Bridget sounds like a bimbo sometimes but I am not sure if she really is. We don't really know these girls.

Once in a while they show a shot of them without makeup, and there are some online pics without makeup. Bridget and Kendra both look so different. I have not seen Holly without makeup. Bridget looks older, but more clean and less trashy without makeup. Kendra has a lot of freckles.

Everything that happens on the show happens for the show. They go to Vegas, then the show becomes a commercial for Hef's club. They go to Europe, so that in case we didn't know, we can see that they attract attention and that makes us want to make a big deal over them.

I like the description of them as bobbleheads.

i wish i had kendras body - fake boobies and all, but her annoying laugh has to go - ugh and brigette is sweet, but i dont think shes playboy material, per se. holly wants to sucker hef into a baby - who would do that when the man is in his 80s???? hmmm

but yep, i watch it

Heres myy take on this:

I think that this is all a 'show' in every sense of the word.

Whenever the girls were on Howard, they were very evasive about sleeping with Hef. I think legally (and there are lots of lawyers involved in anything Hef does) they have to imply that they sleep together to make Hef look good, but there is no physical contact whatsoever. I thought this way before they ever began their show on TV....

when Hef kisses them on the show, it looks like the way their grandpa would kiss them most of the time. Most of the time he gives them a little hug and kiss thing...

This is all a benefit to everyone. Girls get a lot of money, clothes, home, fame, celeb status, exposure, etc - they are doing just fine with the terms they agree to. They also probably have a contract where they have to stay for so many years, and then they do the contract again. This is not a 'relationship' but a business deal.

Also, I have heard many stories about the celeb men they hook up with... so they may not be allowed to publicly date, but they do plenty behind scenes....

The Post today mentioned that Kendra cant wait for her contract to expire b/c none of the girls get along and she has other projects lined up!!!

I was shocked- I knew there was some tension but I didnt think they had contracts esp is they are considered 'girlfriends'

do you think they can keep the stuff he buys them, like the episode where bridget got a car?
