Girls not doing 'and guest' for everyone--Update w another q

Who are you doing 'and guest' for?

We are def doing anyone who is dating somebody...but are you also doing people who won't know anyone at their table w/ guests?

Like a family friend who only knows the close fam, but wouldn't be at the immediate family table. We were going to...but I'm having second thoughts. It's not like we're going to be forcing people to sit all night

What do you think?

ETA: For those only inviting people w/ guests who are in relationships, what are you doing about those that don't know anyone?

For people that are in serious relationships... and people that wont know anyone else... I have 1 or 2 friends that will only know me and FH

this was a hard decision for us. the majority of our friends are either in long term serious dating relationships, married or engaged. however, none of the groomsmen are even dating anyone. so out of those 5 guys, we gave 2 of them '& guest' on their invites. they are the two outgoing guys, who would actually bring a guest. for the other 3, once we receive 'no'S' we will extend the '& guest' to them.

serious relationships = people who are living together, engaged or married

though i may be slightly more lenient with family as opposed to friends ... we'll see

me too. mostly everyone is in a serious relationship though

same here.... and BP members whether they are dating someon seriously or not and leave it up to them. We have this and 'guest' issue with alll of FH nieces and nephews all 26!!! serious relationships only on that

we did for everyone ( both our mothers told us we had to) So far 2 people are not bring a guest, thank god, and one of my BM told me she is not as well, that was a while ago Im just waiting for her RSVP to confirm it!

Hmmm. good question... at this point, we have not taken consideration of the 'and guest' bit because we're still in negotiation of how many people we could afford to invite. for now, we are not doing ANY 'and guest' but i'm interested with what other girls are going to say...

Anyone in a serious relationship BUT if someone in a new-ish relationship asks us if they can bring the person they are dating because it is getting serious, we may consider it. FH asked a friend when we were only dating 4 months and they said yes-----now I am very close with the couple so we are all glad that I made it to their wedding!
