Did you just seal your envelopes, or did you use the little square of tissue paper?
Does is look bad just sealing the outer envelope and not doing the inner or the tissue paper?

Re: Girls NOT doing inner envelopes
I did neither and no one said a word and thought they were gorgeous. I did DIY invites so i didn't think about it till it was done. If you have the money and want to go for it. I didn't feel the need.

Re: Girls NOT doing inner envelopes
I just thought about this now, a day after I submitted my final payment to *her* and didn't really think about doing either until I got a wedding invite in the mail today that had both.
I am fine leaving it as it, just wanted sure if it would look bad.
Thanks girls!

I don't think you need them with pocketfolds..well you never NEED them, but it's less with pocketfolds.
The Inner envelope serves 2 purposes
1) It's a clean keepsake envelope. The outer one will get messed up in the mail, so the inner one will stay nice. ETA: If using 2 envelopes, the inner envelope is the one that is lined.
2) You can address the inner envelope to show exactly who is invited. It can add the 'And guest', which by strict old-school etiquette should not be on the outer envelope. You can also show exactly who is invited in a family.
ETA: I was not going to do liners, inner envelopes, or inner envelope addressing, but ended up adding all of the above.

Ahhh thank you for the detailed explanation. Does she charge a lot for them?

Re: Girls NOT doing inner envelopes
It ended up not being a big difference in price.
The envelope itself is .25 The DIY liner is .15 (There's an extra charge if you want her to put them in, but we're saving some $$ and doing it ourselves) The inner addressing is .25
So it's like an extra 65 cents per invitation, which we didn't think was a lot of money considering that it adds not only a little extra elegance, but also an extra degree of clarity regarding who is invited.

Tissue paper is a throwback anyway. It was to keep the ink from running
