I'm really tempted to show up an hour BEFORE the invitation time, so I can be sitting there as everyone trickles in to say SURPRISE!!! But I feel that will upset the elderly extended family on FH's side that won't be informed that I know.
Are you showing up the same time as the invite time, or the 'hour later' time as if it were a surprise?
I think it would be a colossal waste of everyone's time if I came an hour later to feign surprise for the like 4 of 5 people there that think it's a surprise party...but is that the appropriate thing to do?

I'm extremely punctual so I'll definitely be there on time, if not a little early.

Re: Girls NOT having a surprise shower...
FH's entire side thinks it's a surprise so I think maybe 10 minutes after the time on the invite. I don't want to miss an hour of my shower.

Re: Girls NOT having a surprise shower...
I still am not sure of the time--I think MOH said noon--but I know the date and place, so I think I'm going to show up around 11:45 am unless otherwise told. I want to see presents as everyone walks in!!!! Hehe!

Re: Girls NOT having a surprise shower...
Are showers always supposed to be a surprise? I don't think the thought ever crossed my bridesmaid's mind to make it a surprise. In fact I even helped her look for things, figured out the bridal shower invite wording, helped make the invite themselves, and addressed and put in the mail about 80% of them myself. I would definitely say my bridal shower is anything but a surprise for me lol
